Toastea

An independent café on Morrison Street, Edinburgh — built a full identity and content-led website around one line: "Toasts of the World."

The brief

Turn a much-loved local café — strong on Instagram, thin on a real web presence — into a structured, conversion-focused site.

What we built

Full brand identity and a content system covering the menu, the space and social proof.

Status

Brand and site delivered.

01 — Brand identity

Warm, specific, unmistakably Toastea.

Toastea already had a strong identity on the ground — a blue-fronted shopfront on Morrison Street and a loyal following built on social media. The job was to translate that warmth and personality into a coherent brand system: a tone of voice, a visual language and a positioning line — "Toasts of the World" — that could carry across every touchpoint, not just Instagram stills.

The result leans into what makes an independent café worth visiting: a specific address, a specific look, and food and drink presented with real editorial care rather than generic stock photography.

02 — Content-led website

Built to turn social stills into a structured site.

A café's Instagram feed is a scattered set of moments — not a site a new customer can navigate. We structured the build around the questions a first-time visitor actually asks: what do they serve, what's the space like, and can I trust it before I walk in.
